Shield mark in underglaze blue, impressed date mark 812 for 1812 on both pieces, further impressed marks of 25 and 60 painters mark 136 in iron red

Cup 9.0 cm high
Saucer 15.1 cm diameter

Decorated with burnished and chased gilt paterae on a matt black ground divided by white and red classical ornament. The borders divided into angular panels of gold. The cup raised on a spreading foot, the handle ending in an acanthus scroll.
