A Ludwigsburg figure of a Chinaman with an exotic bird

The figure standing in contrapposto with a long-tailed bird on his right shoulder dressed in a flowing long-sleeved coat over striped trousers, with pointed shoes and wearing an oval straw hat.

Haselmeyer, along with Joseph Nees were the most noted modellers of the 1760 at Ludwigsburg.

Provenance – Bears old collector’s label ‘Trustees of the R. P. Collection, no 350’.
