Chelsea Octagonal Kakiemon Teapot and Cover

Circa 1750 – 1752

Thickly potted in the characteristic paste of the Raised Anchor period and decorated with alternating panels of stylised foliage scrolls reserved on a red ground divided by panels of ‘precious objects’.

Condition:
Restoration around base of spout
