A white French figure of a child with a recumbent goat, probably Saint-Cloud
1750 – 1755
18.6 cm high
19 cm wide
When unmarked it is a little difficult to be certain of the attribution of a figure like this. It is certainly French of around 1750-1755 and although rather thinly potted, Saint-Cloud is the most probable attribution although similar buds and leaves are found on Mennecy of the period.
Condition:
An ear and horn of the goat restored
Price: £4,500
