Decorated with a continuous landscape and a figure throwing a spear at another on the cover.

This limited palette of iron-red, green, a soft mauve and brown is characteristic of the earliest phase of decoration after Johann Gregorius Herold arrived at Meissen from Vienna.

Slight wear to gilding, no restoration
